BUPC not connecting to the DES server

Issue:

Rimage BUPC not connecting to the DES server

Solution:

  1. Check to make sure the Backup PC is running.

  2. Try restarting the BUPC machine

  3. Try and ping the IP address of the L3 Flashback server to make sure you have network connectivity

  4. The IP address of BUPC should match the IP that is set up in DES System Settings

5. Check Windows Firewall and Windows Defender. These can be turned off if they are not connected to the internet

6. Verify that the BUPC software matches the Server software

7. The user account should be a mvadmin and an Administrator account

8. Verify that the FileZilla account is also mvadmin, Enable account, and password is checked.

9. Check the BUPC work directories in FileZilla configuration if set to the right permission attributes.

10. Restart the Rimage service and Network services.
