Description:
This document is intended to assist, how to troubleshoot GPS issues in Tablet Panasonic FZM1.
Issue:
- GPS status in WasteApp: Unknown
- No Satellite connectivity
- Unable to get Lattitude and Longitude
Possible Cause: The GPS receiver not locking on any Satellite, or Locations Service not available in Windows.
To know: GPS receiver inside of the tablet needs to be in the line of satellite sights to lock on, clearance between the device and the sky is necessary.
Resolution:
Method 1:
- Enabling Wireless Connection: GPS doesn’t work if the wireless connection in Windows settings is disabled. Following is a video showing how to enable it.
- Please make sure that the wireless connection is always on.
- This is a windows 10 requirement.
- You need to make sure that both “Cellular” and “Wi-Fi” are always ON.
- Please Validate the GPS status in WasteApp after making these changes.
Method 2:
If the above does not fix the issue proceed with the Next step:
Install the attached Patch fix for the MC73xx Modem, and reboot the unit.
