Exporting the Redacted Video

Once you redact the elements you want to, you must save the redacted file. This creates a local copy, which you can distribute as evidence.

NOTE: Clicking the Close Button

If you click the close button (on mouse hover, reads as Close this video tile) in the top-right corner of the redacted tile, or the close button (on mouse hover, reads as Close all tiles) next to the Overlay check box, Evidence Manager will prompt you to export the video. If you choose to not export the video, you will be returned to the home page of Evidence Manager.


To export the redacted video:

  1. Ensure that you redacted all the elements as necessary.
  2. Click the Save icon. The icon looks like this:
    Click Export next to the player controls.
  1. On the Export Redacted Video window, do the following:
    1. Name: Enter a name for the video. For a system generated file name, click Auto generate filename.
    2. Resolution: Select either Medium (720×480 or High (1280X720).
    3. Folder: Select the folder where you want to save the video file.
    4. Start Time and End Time: Set the start date and time, and the end date and time of the video clip you want to save.
    5. Include Audio: Select this check box if you want to include audio along with the video.
  1. Click Start to begin.

The Free Drive Size bar indicates the progress of the operation.
