The Redaction feature automatically identifies faces in the video, and creates yellow bounding boxes around these elements. The elements are then redacted for the duration you specify.
Use this method of redaction, if you want Evidence Manager to recognize faces, and redact them for the duration you specify.
Auto Face Detection includes support for the following:
It is possible that the Auto Face Detection method might not detect all the faces in a video. If that happens, you can manually select elements for redaction.
Evidence Manager cannot auto detect faces in low resolution videos. That is why, use this method only if your video has high resolution.
To auto detect faces:
Some of the redaction menu options also have quick access icons on the application toolbar. The application toolbar is located beneath the top menu bar.
The progress bar displays the progress of the redaction. As Evidence Manager detects faces, yellow bounding boxes with a number appear around elements. The numbers follow a chronology indicative of the order in which the faces are detected.
As the faces are detected, a video element for each face is listed in the Video Elements for Redaction pane.
After the redaction operation completes, do the following:
Sometimes, Evidence Manager might not detect faces. For example, faces that are partially hidden might not be detected. If you notice undetected faces, you can use any of the manual methods of redaction to redact them. These methods are described in tutorial 55, 56, and 57.
