Overview

Snapshots are point-in-time images of a video that is currently playing. Consider a scenario where you are reviewing an evidence file, and you come across an incident or an event that you feel is of importance. Evidence Player allows you to create a snapshot of this incident. Snapshots are saved as image files to the folder you specify.

Procedure

To generate a snapshot:

  1. Open the evidence file.
  2. Click the Camera icon.
  3. On the Save Snapshot window, do the following:
    1. Snapshots File: Select the destination where you
      want to save the snapshots.
    2. Cameras: Select the cameras from which you
      want to take snapshots.
  1. Click Snapshot.

A snapshot of the video is created containing the following overlay details: Camera name, timestamp, and the device name.
