A snapshot is a point-in-time image of a video. It functions as an image file of a part of the video. You can take a snapshot of a video that is playing wherever you feel necessary.
Evidence Manager uses the Windows-native screen capture tool to generate snapshots. When you capture a snapshot, Evidence Manager instructs Windows to change the default Screenshots folder to the destination folder you selected. That is why you will find the snapshot in the destination of your choice and not the default Screenshots folder, even though the snapshot was created using the in-built Windows screen capture tool.
To save a snapshot:
A snapshot of the video is created containing the following overlay details: Camera name, timestamp, and the device name. In case of a delay in generating snapshots, the snapshot option within Evidence Manager is disabled for further use. After pending snapshots are generated, the snapshot option becomes available again.
