Logging in to Evidence Manager


To use Evidence Manager to review videos as well as create evidence files, you must first log in. If this is your first time logging in, use the default credentials:

  • User Name – admin
  • Password – admin

After you log in, you will be prompted to set a new password, and select a security question. Think of a strong password that you can remember. Once set, use the new password to log in to Evidence Manager whenever necessary.


NOTE: Logging In Without a Password

If you selected Bypass the login while installing Evidence Manager, you do not require credentials to open Evidence Manager. Therefore, perform steps 1 and 2 only.

NOTE: User Account Control Window

If the User Account Control window appears asking you to allow Evidence Manager to make changes to your computer, click Yes to allow the installation to proceed.

To log in to Evidence Manager:

  1. From the Start menu, go to All Programs > Safe Fleet.
  2. Click Evidence Manager.
    Double-click the Evidence Manager desktop shortcut. The Evidence Manager login window appears.
  3. (First-time login with credentials) Perform steps 4 through 7, and then perform step 8.
    (Returning users with credentials) Perform step 8.
  4. Provide the default administrator credentials, and proceed with the installation.
  5. On the Password Management – admin window, enter the old password and the new password.

NOTE: Password Constraints

Your new password must be a minimum of 8 characters, and must include at least:

  • One each of upper case and lower case letter
  • One number
  • One of the following symbols: ~ ! @ # $ % ^ + – =
  1. Under Change Challenge Response, select a security question, and enter your answer.
  2. Click OK
  3. On the Evidence Manager login window, provide the login credentials:
    • User Name: The username for logging in.
    • Password: The new password that you set.
  4. Click Login.
