Working with Evidence

Creating Evidence Categories

Depot Manager uses evidence categories to sort and save evidence. Evidence categories determine for how long, in days, that Depot Manager saves certain categories of evidence. There are several default evidence categories from which to choose, such as Assault, Disturbance, General Security, Liability, Maintenance, Medical, None, and Test Demo. You can add your own categories as well as edit and delete existing categories.

  1. Click Evidence > Categories to open the Evidence Categorization window.
  1. Click + to open the Add Category window.
  2. Enter a title.
  3. (OPTIONAL) Enter the number of days data in this category is saved before it is deleted.
  4. Click Add Category.

Editing Evidence Categories

Click the drop-down arrow next to the category, then select Edit.

Deleting Evidence Categories

Click to select the category, then click Delete.
