Configurable depot settings allow you to set up the system’s email account for sending emails, discovery settings for finding online IP devices, and recording and storage settings.
The Settings – [depotname] window opens.
|Administration||Use to configure task scheduling, and what triggers the system to send email notifications
when the master server is unreachable.
|SMTP||Use to specify the SMTP server for single or multiple depots, and to send a test email.|
|Auto Discovery||Use to configure LAN and Cellular discovery settings for automatically finding IP devices in
the depot. Default IP addresses can be multicast, broadcast, or unicast.
|Download Video||Use to configure rules for downloading video.|
|Diagnostics||Use to configure the number of days that diagnostic data is kept in the system.|
|Configure Device||Use to configure the email addresses that receive messages upon both successful and failed
device bulk configurations and firmware upgrades.
|Video Storage||Use to determine the disk storage threshold at which notifications are automatically sent,
data is automatically sent to a secondary storage device, and/or when data is deleted.
|Camera Checks||Use to capture daily reference images to ensure that in-vehicle cameras are properly
operating. Use the tab to manually verify that the cameras have not moved or been
vandalized. Use to manually approve or disapprove the image generated by a scheduled
camera check. Camera check diagnostics also attach to maintenance cases.
|Logs||Use for maintenance and to configure how long device log files are saved.|
The Video Storage settings for Depots allows you to configure behaviors for both the primary and secondary storage settings. These settings are important as they direct Depot Manager to automatically free up disk space when your disks are full. You can also configure email settings to alert people of changes in storage status.
