The Safe Fleet product team is happy to announce that an update to AVL GPS Tracking module (also known as “Live+”) improving the Student Contact Tracing tool is now available. This update applies to SF Cloud Application Suite v5.34. and does not affect the other applications in the suite (Route Management, Video Management or Live Stream).

Enhancements

Populate Student Data from Card Id

In order to provide complete information on students getting on the bus, this enhancement allows the collection of data from both the Student Id and the student’s Card Id (RFID card scanned when the student gets on board) so it is accordingly reflected in the Student Contact Tracing Reports.

When the student who gets on the bus has not been assigned to the corresponding route, the application displays the record as Unknown student followed by the Card Id number in brackets in the report.

This is also a very valuable tool to keep track of and notify students in case of potential contacts during COVID-19 breakouts.

Resolved Issues

Student not Shown in Report when not Assigned to the Route

We have fixed an issue that would cause students not assigned to the route to not appear in the Student Contact Tracing Report.

We have fixed an issue that, when inputting vehicle names shorter than 3 characters, would cause inconsistencies in the Vehicle search returns.
